Act 1039 of 2017 Reporting by the School District (Ark. Code Ann. 6-41-606b)

During the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years, Jacksonville Lighthouse Charter School used the evidenced-base program from the Orton-Gillingham Based System: Barton Reading & Spelling System in small group intervention to address the deficit areas of students identified as exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia.

Number of Students Who Received Dyslexia Intervention

During the 2019-2020 school year, 22 students attending Jacksonville Lighthouse Charter School are receiving dyslexia intervention services from a trained dyslexia interventionist.

During the 2020-2021 school year, 25 students attending Jacksonville Lighthouse Charter School are receiving dyslexia intervention services from a trained dyslexia interventionist.

Total Number of Students Identified as Exhibiting the Characteristics of Dyslexia

During the 2019-2020 school year, 65 students attending Jacksonville Lighthouse Charter School have been identified as exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia.

During the 2020-2021 school year, 35 students attending Jacksonville Lighthouse Charter School have been identified as exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia.
